I prefer Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. There is no scheduled mileage to change the filter. If it needs to be changed the trans is already trashed.

If you are just draining the pan it's around 8 quarts.

That includes the torque converter and all the lines. You won't get that much fluid out of the trans by draining.
