something you may also try.next time it wont start... hold your shift lever in park with firm pressure and try to start it.. if it starts move to neutral .. if it starts again.. you may have a bad neutral safety switch.. located on shift linkage on the tranny.. if that gets out of alignment ( getting stuck in mud and something hit it) it will cause what your describing
