Location, location, location. You had to leave the area to get a clean vehicle. He lives in Texas. A nine year old 200k+ mile F-150 is not worth $10k in the south.
Besides...at $10k or so...you're at the high end of the 1997-2003 F-150's. I don't know why you'd pay a premium on a 200k+ mile truck.
