'92 was one of the inbetween years for the 2 or 3 digit code transition, but I'm thinking the 302 was still 2-digit in '92.

Keep in mind that in a KOER test, there will be an engine code first (4 flashes for an 8-cylinder engine), then a "goose code" to prompt you to give the throttle a quick stab, turn the steering wheel 1/4-1/2 a turn, touch the brake pedal and cycle the O/D switch (last two are for electronic automatic trucks only). After that, there will be a short flicker which are the fast codes used by some code readers, then it gets to the actual codes. The computer will output all codes then output them all a second time.
