Make life simple and use the same oil as your truck.
Personally I use the VW 505.01 synthetic in my TDI, but the older ones don't require that spec and the same oil that you use for your Powerstroke will work just fine in the old Rabbit Diesel.
We have a winner folks...I've use the same diesel oil I use in my truck in two gas rigs for years (and one of them is a 350 stroker making 450 hp).
