A couple of weeks ago I pulled away from my buddeis place and he called me and said I had no tail lights. I checked the bulds, they were good. Checked the fuse, it was good. The license plate lights worked (on same fuse as tails). WTF! Spent AN HOUR under the truck and finally found a broked wire at the plug near the spare tire. Almost looked like it was cut. I suspect it was pinched somehow when the truck was built and either just lately let go or it could be that I have not had tail lights for a year and a half and not known??

Not enough wire to solder and shrink so all I could do is put a connector on (red one below). Then I gooped it wih brush on electrical tape (I love that stuff).

If they go out again I will know where to start looking!
