Do no try to remove those the are factory set in lock tight , use the mounting bolts to remove from vehicle and make sure you grease those allen bolts good to insure calipers dont hang up . Also use ceramic brake pads they should last about 60K miles on these cars . also if you are new to the escape if you hear a whirring sound from the rear the back tires are suseptable to cupping I have owned a couple and the company I worked for did too actually very low matainence cars
