I had to replace the intake gasket on my 1998 4.6L. The truck wouldn't drive faster than 50mph and the when on a hill, the engine light came on. The truck didn't run hot. I pulled the intake and had water in the last cylinders. The gaskets are plastic and crack from heat. Put new plugs and wires and runs great now.
