I couldn't imagine tearing my '00 HD F150 apart for that swap. Being one of less than 8200 I'm gonna hold onto it. At least pick a year that more were produced. Lol.
i was under the empression that the transmissions valve bodys are different and dont interchange. and the ECu cant controll them from the r4100 or what ever the 2WD trans is to r470w 4wheel. i was curious if the frames were the same up front and if i had a donor vehicle to pull parts from i could make this a 4wheel drive. i wish and hope its that easy, i ve found a few california that i might try to get soon. and ive got accesss to a totaled 2000ish supercrew 4wd i can up from.
