Fel-Pro vs. Victor Reinz vs. OEM Gasket Quality . . .

Hey guys,

I have been reading a lot of posts on this topic, mainly the most recent one about the Lower intake Manifold Gasket Replacement, and I wanted to break off a new thread to ask a specific question about gaskets . . .

From talking to a couple of other guys, they said that Fel-Pro was designed BETTER than OEM and no longer has any cork in it.

However, from reading online, it seems that OEM is definitely still the way to go and that Fel-Pro is inferior.

I am doing my intake system and was wondering about different gasket manufacturers . . .
(1997 Ranger -- 4.0L V6)

OEM
Fel-Pro
Victor Reinz

On RockAuto.com, a complete Fel-Pro set is $68 and the Victor Reinz gaskets are $71. I'm putting in a big order with RockAuto, so I was thinking of ordering a set of Victor Reinz manifold gaskets.

Can anyone give me their thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Joe
