Thanks for the suggestions. Turning key to accessory position allowed me to shift to neutral and start the truck. I then looked at my fuse panel as I was checking out another problem earlier in the day.
Discovered I had put a fuse back in the wrong slot and when I placed it where it belonged everything was fine.
Still don't understand why an electrical issue could be temporarily fixed by allowing it to be moved out of PARK by pushing the truck backwards a couple inches.
