I've been emailing a couple dealers. And no one wants to talk any price with out me being there. This is crazy. I had one dealer told me he would order the truck I wanted and give me "Fleet Price" on it. But then could not tell me what that was.. Another one about a hour away can only give me a price if I come in.
What happend to the days of we can take 9K off or 20%? And have the deal done before you show up. I'm thinking I should wait a couple more months. With gas prices and truck sales down, they are going to want to move there invertory soon..
The dealer can't sell you a car over the phone no less than you can buy one without being present. Unless you belong to a buying plan you're going to have to put in the leg work and negotiate the old fashioned way. It's fun and it will be worth your time.
