If the truck starts there's nothing wrong with the pats. The fuel pump wiring runs down the drivers side frame rail. Two wires, black/pink for power and a black for ground. There's also a fuel pump relay but it's unlikely that it's gone bad. Dont know if it helps but here's a pic of the tank.
The pic does help a lot, thanks!!! I found a pic in my searching that was of the whole tank from a little ways away, so I didn't know how it looked on top and where the wires went.
