I agree! This just happened to me (in my work's truck, not mine) a couple of weeks ago. I was on the interstate and was having a lack of power/turbo farting between gears. Any time this happens in my truck (the turbo farting), I can solve it by giving it a hard run and blowing it out. I tried this on the work truck, and BAM! Huge boom from under the hood followed by a black cloud behind me. Lots of rushing air sounds and NO power. Come to find out I blew the boot of the CAC tube going to the turbo. Replaced it and all better....power was back with no turbo fart, but the dealer still got us for a blown turbo. I guess what I am saying is that it could be a simple CAC boot loose or blown off, to an extreme of a blown turbo also....
