I don't remember what I paid when I had them a few years ago. I've got the "Eastern Shore" tags on it now. All I did was go to the local DMV and change from the truck tags to regular tags. Before these, I had VA Tech tags on it. I've got it tagged for 7500 GVW but it still shows the 10,000 GVW on the registration. I didn't have to do anything through Richmond......just the local DMV. Prior to this, it had been registered at the 10,000 GVWR on the door post decal.
like he said...shouldn't be hard to fix locally. (emphasis on shouldn't). it's just one piece of paper. i was actually thinking of putting truck tags on mine but ended up deciding the lower tax rate was more cool than truck tags lol. the guy at dmv tried to give me a hard time, but i think he was just embarassed that i knew more about my truck than he did...
