Hey,

There is an earlier post saying that any unused fuel is pumped back to the front tank -- regardless of whether the front or rear tank is selected. (I think the owner's manual mentions this too.) So, for example, if you're empty on the front tank, switch to the rear tank and use it up, then switch back to the front, there will be some gas in it.
