1988 Ford F150 4x4 problems

Howdy I got a 1988 Ford F150 4x4 302 EFI automatic Regular cab. It will not start. I got it about a year ago. The last owner was a mechanic but didn't do a thing to other than think he could mount the bed but it wouldn't fit. Also he pulled the distrubtor and intake manifold. We put the intake manifold on it off of a 1989 Ford F150 2wd EFI 302 and put a distrubtor brand new. It is stabed right. Yet it still don't start. I had to replace the fuel selector filter. I know it is getting fuel it spit out at me and my dad causing a small fire but didn't burn anything. It has spark plugs out of a 1989 Ford F350 460 V8 engine. The spark pulg wires are fairly new. I had this same problem with my 1987 Plymouth Reliant and we replaced the ignition coil but I can't find it. I really want to get this truck going since I traded my 1987 Plymouth Reliant for it. It is a great truck I know it for sure.
