The first Ford pickup (1965 F100) I bought new was $2300.00.
In 1965, the median family income was $5K-7K. A 1965 truck would be more comparable in terms to todays F-150 XL 4x2 V-6 work truck which starts at $23,395. The US median income today is $50,500. All things considered, I think we're getting more for our money today in terms of F-150's then we did 45 years ago.
