Please, I absolutely defer to you when it comes to this sort of detail on the 300. Gotta admit I've never seen a shouldered stud so that didn't click with me.

Not sure where you're located but here in Dallas there are several shops that can build custom hoses with whatever ends you need. Usually for not much more than you would pay for OEM replacements...

Adjusting stud mount rockers ("adjustable rockers") is pretty much the same for all engines. Tighten the nut until there's no lash, i.e. can't move the pushrod up or down freely between the rocker...

I'm going to try again at bleeding the clutch during the evenings this week. There's less urgency now...I went and bought a 2014 Tundra 4x4, so transportation to and into the deer lease is 100%...

Alrighty then, got the engine in and discovered it was sitting up so high the fan was hitting the top of the shroud. So much I couldn't mount the shroud. Some muscle and a new transmission mount...

Remove the oil filler cap and watch the #1 intake...

Remove the oil filler cap and watch the #1 intake rocker while turning the engine by hand. Once it starts to close #1 is on the compression stroke.

I've got stock type pipes and a y into a 2.5" single on the Bronco and like it. If it fits, go for it.
