My '89 F250 had the same setup and the same leak....

My '89 F250 had the same setup and the same leak. I used a 3 inch piece of coolant hose, a bolt in the end and two hose clamps. Doesn't look great but works fine .

My '84 F150 351W 4x4 with 3.55 gears and C-6 trans. would run 70 mph all day. Gas mileage wasn't great but it sure didn't struggle. Something is definitely amiss with your engine.

Carb choice question

A few years back I asked for opinions on the 4 barrel carb. of choice for my '84 351W, Holley or Edelbrock. The consensus seemed to be Holley for tune-ability and Edelbrock for ease of use.

Since the 351W is a taller wider engine than the 302, I think you will have problems making those 302 headers work.

Tomato juice can looking one is vacuum reservoir. The other , I believe is the air intake for the A.I.R system. (emissions).

Had a similar problem on an old Ford wagon years ago. Turned out to be a defective coil.
