yes 7B498 is the shaft seal , I ordered a rebuild...

yes 7B498 is the shaft seal , I ordered a rebuild gasket kit off ebay and it came with everything but the correct rear seal . I had to get that one at autozone . ...

If I remember right the 240 is the same as a 300...

If I remember right the 240 is the same as a 300 externally . I'd find a donor late model F150 with a 300 and drop that in . I had a 94 F150 with the 300 it pulled everything without missing a beat.

I wouldn't use a vacuum gauge ( -PSI ) to read PSI for fuel
most chain autoparts has the inline gauge for like $10 just cut rubber line and install with two clamps . done .

I had a new Autozone fuel pump on my original 360...

I had a new Autozone fuel pump on my original 360 that pushed 8psi and caused the same flooding issue . I threw a cheap regulator with gauge (set at 6 psi) on and flooding stopped

what fuel pump do you have ? anything above 6psi...

caliper rebuild kits are under $10.00 I rebuilt mine it was very simple .
