I put in a unit in the wall. It's great to be able to work in there when it's 110 outside!...

They look wider in the picture than Lemans/GTO seats to me. That's why I was thinking Catalina. Maybe even Grand Prix?

I picked up Permatex Aviation sealant #3

I lapped the housing on a flat plate, applied the Permatex, no leaks!:D

Is there a way to get a chrome thermostat housing to seal? The O-ring that it came with is junk and it doesn't seal. Can a regular gasket be used or does it have to be an O-ring?
