They're not bad if you don't mind blinding everyone. Wonder how many wrecks they have caused. I've always felt if you need more light turn on the high beams, at least they can be dimmed back to low...

You can add a lock if you want. A number of venders sell kits for both doors or both doors and the ignition. The kit I used from Mid-Fifty's came with a template for marking the door.

If you follow the Heidt's instructions the front wheel will be centered. Ride height will depend on if you went with drop spindles or standard spindles and also on wheel and tire size you go with....

I would upgrade yours bolts on the rear spring hangers to grade 8, they appear to be grade 5. Never hurts to have that extra strength in a high load location.

I also went with cutting off 2". This left 1" from the gravel pan. This 1" is very handy when you wash your truck to be able to wash the gravel pan and back side of bumper

I used a set of BBK 15150 ceramic coated shorty headers on my 302. Also I used the BBK 1510 H-pipe with a pair of magnaflow mufflers. My transmission is different from your 4R70W instead my is a C6.
