Looking at fuel trim at idle and at 2500 rpm...

Looking at fuel trim at idle and at 2500 rpm would provide some direction as to whether you have a vacuum/air intake problem or a fuel delivery/maf problem.

My 2016 6.7 owner's manual (diesel supplement) shows the replacement mileage for the fuel filters as 22,500 miles.

Actually, your fuel trim readings are OK and not at all unusual. If the long term and short trim (mathematically) combine to equal less than 10% (on each bank), it is usually not a real problem....

You need a good scanner that can read live...

Disconnect the batteries. Charge and test the batteries. Once you are sure that you have two good, fully charged batteries, reconnect the batteries and try to start it. Post back what happens.
