I think it looks good but another option for cleaning it later would to look at powder coating it. If you are tying it together with aluminum valve covers, air filter, etc.. it will look fine as is....

Another easy fix is to drill out one of the lower holes in the reinforcing plate and mount it there. Should give you added clearance and wont really raise the truck.

Not on mine it wasn't, ran separate one to verify, it made no difference.
Besides it a circuit board and the others gauges continued to work.

Yes, if they are factory style mounts there is always some wiggle room (slop) in them so you should have no issues.

On a rubber seal Do Not forget to lube the back side of the seal. Otherwise they will wear out upon dry run in and will fail early.
