Wiper Motor

I bought mine from Speedway (~$150) if I remember right. It fit well but you had to use the original transmission and defroster outlets. A little tricky getting it in but it works great.

Thanks for the response but I think we are talking about the wrong retainer. I am asking about the metal, kind of star shaped retainer, about an inch and a half in diameter that holds the pinion...

Ford 9 inch Pinion Bearing Retainer

I have just rebuilt a Ford 9 inch and am having trouble installing the retainer that holds the tail end of the pinion bearing in the case. Is there a special way to install it??

Do you have the right hinge bolts? Based on your hood design, some use non-shouldered bolts. I had a similar issue until I got non- shouldered bolts.
