Remove the screws near the windshield and the top of the radio controls and pull off the pad. Replace with new pad

Yes it is worth the money. I watch intake air temp, water temp, volts and any other that I feel necessary I have the 6.4 L

Could you have a dry input shaft that loosens up after first shift? Maybe lube the trans input shaft to see if that helps. Just a thought.

It sounds like your fluid may be low. Check that if not take to a good brake shop that has experience with that type of problem. Don't hesitate it could be dangerous.
