Should be a plate bolted to front/bottom of transmission.

No way to remove torque converter bolts from inspection port. It's only about 2" in diameter and on wrong side of torque converter.

The KB kit used a aluminum adapter to bolt onto existing intake manifold.

The adapter has a passage way about 3/4 inch tall by 4 inches wide to allow air to move from blower to intake...

I agree the thin metal may allow the exhaust manifolds to slip fore and aft, but not expand in and out.

A thicker gasket that has rebound/compression ability should help alot with broken studs,...

Worked like a charm with some good lefthand drill bits from McMaster carr.

Yup Ford crate motor.
You could try a complete rebuild but it won't be refurbished like a crate motor, by AER. AER remanufactures all Fords V10s to OEM specifications.

2000 V10s come with 8.8:1...

Intercooling ait to water.....could get pricey, doesn't cool head unit but does cool all...

It's alive again.. All 10 rod bearings...

It's alive again..

All 10 rod bearings replaced, could have gotten by with just replacing #1 as all the rest looked perfect. Took the better part of 8 hours to replace all bearings and reassemble...
