Personallly I would call the dealer back and ask if they found any missfires in mode 6. It should store the missfires there even if the CEL isn't staying on.

I wouldn't use a HV pump if you don't need it. I know a few guys that have had cams-distributor gears get wiped out from turning the HV pump.
