I'm pretty sure there is a 98 OBS F250 and it was only the F350 that got completely dropped in 98. So in 97 and 98 they made a LD F250 (basically a 7-lug F150) and a HD F250 (OBS).

That's high quality wiring compared to what I had to fix on my trailer. Apparently someone wanted needed to splice 2 7-wire harnesses together so they just stripped each wire, twisted them together...

Best place to start is using the same thickness...

Best place to start is using the same thickness shims as you pulled out. Then get an extra set of bearings (or used ones if they aren't too worn out) and grind out the ID so that they will slide on...

I believe it. I'm compiling parts now and am still under $400; just need a couple fittings and some wiring pieces from the junk yard. If I was doing the tight wad mod, I'd be just over $200.
