I'm not sure what your idea of fair mileage is, but personally I wouldn't consider a 460 gas friendly ever.
If you are looking for good mileage a 300 would be better.

Or be prepared to run a zinc additive if you want to run something other than diesel oil.

I don't plan on using it day in day out for a paying job.
Its probably made in the same chinese factory as 3m and others.

Yea I probably would have tried to grab up everything when I picked the tank up if I paid attention to the hose orientation.
I'll look for a filler neck, hope it's cheaper than the hose.

some vehicles have a "sealed" transmission that doesn't allow a proper fluid change. such as my volvo. no filter, just a drain plug that empties out 2.5 quarts~. I don't know what they were smoking...
