The c channel sold by the steel companies has a hard 90 degree on the edges not IMHO good for a custom bumper. Get a pc of 10 gauge black or cold rolled cut it out and take it to a machine...

There is an angle right on the center of the support brace that goes across from hinge to hinge, cut that and adjust and reweld. But might want to address the oil canning in the center of that hood...

I used the kbs rust seal also. This stuff is hard and flows really nice. I used a brush for mine, does not look as nice as Charlies, but as Charlies...
