I do this same thing, hold the pump handle up and I can let it pump at full speed. Some pumps are a bigger issue than others in my experience.

Is it white, or does the smoke have a blue-ish tint to it? Since "coolant" is already taken, I'll go with it's oil and the valve seals are done.

You'll most likely be well over your F350's GCVWR depending on year and engine/trans/diff specs, so it makes a difference what states you plan to drive in and how strict they are with such things.
