It's been discussed a lot on here. It's not feasible. The frames from 4wd to 2wd are just too different, way too much fabrication involved.

By the time you buy all the parts to fix it (assuming the housing is ok) I'd still think you could buy a junk yard axle cheaper, at least in my area one could.
