Since the computer that controls the engine also controls the transmission the codes for either will be displayed when you attach a code reader.

1995 truck should be OBD-I. Unless it's an oddball California emissions version. Check the VECI label under the hood.

Replacing the VSS rarely fixes the problem on these trucks. It's worth pulling it and inspecting for signs of metal chunks/shavings, but I would not replace it just yet.

These trucks have rear ABS only, it's not that effective when it does work.

There are multiple causes of your issue, a defective RABS module is common.

I would expect three digit codes on a 1995 truck. Perhaps the 5-speed transmission is why it has two digit codes?

The OP previously stated they removed the battery negative cable thereby clearing the codes and it returned. I did not go down the path of Code 211 happening sometime further in the past.
