my '79 f250 overheated fast if the temp was up outside. i had forgotten to reinstall it after doing some work.

Some guys say that they run without a shroud, mine...

ok, so....

The vacuum canister is only needed on trucks with vacuum actuated a/c? i dont have one, and want to know if i need one. my heater doesnt look like it has any vacuum lines to it.

seems like getting the most dirty fluid out would make the most sense. drain the converter.
