The dash gauge doesn't mean much; they're really imprecise. If you have a way of monitoring EOT, take it for a good long drive and monitor it. It should get up to / toward 200F.

Apples and oranges. IDI is almost 200 lb heavier than a 6.2. And that's dry. The 6.2 takes only 7 quarts of oil. I'm guessing it has a smaller cooling system as well.
