You are actually thinking of it backwards. Ford put the tranny for a diesel into the gas trucks. There is some really good reading out there about the design of the 6R140. Built from the ground up...

My first thought is that going from an XLT 250 to a well equipped 250 with the 6.7, you are going to see a significant reduction in payload.

You may want to be sure you will not exceed payload...

Like the previous poster said, extra costs from the state. I just bought a '12 F250 6.2. It fits my needs and provides more than enough payload for my needs. Here in VA I can have passenger plates...

Keeping my eye on this thread. I just upgraded to a 250 so that I can bring a golf cart to campgounds with us. I am curious as to what others do.

Nope, no charge at all, and they gave me a loaner car for free while the truck was being repaired. The customer service there was great.

This part just happened to start acting up two days after...

Hopefully the last update....

Picked up my truck from CarMax today, they replaced the canister purge valve. No more low idle or stalling.

Prior to the repair, when coming to a stop, I would...

F250 6.2 Stalling

I just purchased a 2012 F250 XLT with the 6.2. It has 38,000 miles on it. Yesterday I noticed, when coming to a stop, the idle will sometimes drop below 500. The engine will stumble a little, then...

@CaptFX4, My setup is exactly the same. What material did you use to block the openings where the fan goes past the end of the cooler. I've been trying to think of something to use. The fan does a...

Bad Ground / Lightning Damage

I don't have a problem anymore, just looking to see what people think of the situation I just had with my truck.

This past week I was at a campground, and there was a really bad thunderstorm. I...
