I use an electronic gauge system (DashDAQ). Way more expensive than is necessary. You might try starting another thread on gauges (or doing a few searches) - you would probably get more responses.

Then the P0401 may be a sticking EGR valve or even a sticking turbo. You might try cleaning the EGR valve (procedure is in the Tech Folder). Also, keep an eye on boost if you have a boost gauge.
