Napa voltage regulators are junk. The only ones you can depend on are the OEM Motorcraft or Autolite. Better yet, get rid of the whole thing and go with one of these.

I concur on "truss" . And not a bad idea if you plan any serious off roading with the little 44 front end. I've broke a couple of them right in two and it didn't really take that much.
