The fuel (transfer/lift) pump rarely go out on the 3208s. You may want to see if you can borrow a pressure tester, and a vac gauge. Test both sides of the pump. Or... start out with blowing the line...

I think it would be easier to cut the spacers down 1/8" at a time. Widdle em down til you get the desired pedal.

I had the same measurements. I used .75" square tubing double stacked as my spacer. Still need to do finish work and enclose it, but functional.

I took mine off 3 or 4 years ago, and like the 60s look of it. I pulled the defroster deflectors out of the pad, and they screwed in to the spot on the dash ... like it was meant to be.

Stopping distance (60-0) on mine was 196ft with 4 drums, and 140ft now. Hydrobooost is the way to go.:-jammin...
