I always run mine down to single digits and then fill up. I have hit 0 a couple of times, but never ran over a couple of miles after that. I don't buy into the "It hurts the fuel pump" theory either....

I don't think there was an OEM version available back then. You will probably need to go with a Du-Ha. I have one in my '08. It looks and fits like factory and is a very well made product.
