New to me 1966 F100

Well the culprit of the starter "thud" has been identified.

One missing tooth and a somewhat chewed up second. What's the worst that can happen if I just let it go? Eventually chew up the starter...

I ordered a new solenoid already from RockAuto so for $5 I will see if that at least remedies the sticking for a little while. You mentioned nothin them but how else would you stop...

Well I tried having my wife quickly bumping the starter but I could not see any missing teeth, although it was sort of a roulette wheel as to where it stopped and I couldn't see anything like a gap...

As I mentioned in my build thread, while doing the compression test this weekend, we noticed a hitting/thudding sound when the starter was engaged. We didn't notice anything afterwards when the truck...

So those are the wheel sizes? What width tire were you running? I believe my wheels are 15x8 but the tires on them are almost 11" wide whereas John's were also 15x8 but were only a bit over 9" wide.

I like it, personally. Will get dirty more easily but I think it goes well with the rest of the interior from what I can see.
