AA are single shot. AD are split shot. Many people switch from AD to AA, but it requires reprogramming of the PCM. AA's are supposed to be better performance, but I didn't learn this...

My previous statement is correct. AA injectors were used from 94-97. AD injectors where used from late 99-03 with AE (Long Lead) in cylinder 8.

I will double check, but if I remember right for the 01 you should have AD code injectors with AE on cylinder 8. If you take the valve covers off you will see the letters on top of the injector...
