1-2 shift

Could you have a dry input shaft that loosens up after first shift? Maybe lube the trans input shaft to see if that helps. Just a thought.

I use stabile in my 67 Chevelle and my 1950 military jeep' I also use Diesel Clean in my 08 f350 6.4 diesel. I can't imagine not using these products for if nothing else peace of mind especially come...

It sounds like your fluid may be low. Check that if not take to a good brake shop that has experience with that type of problem. Don't hesitate it could be dangerous.

When I was in school they always said it takes at least 8 miles of driving to recharge the battery to it's prior status charge. That was a long time ago and I am sure things have changed some....LOL...

Yes you can just tap into one side or the other for the reverse light. Make sure that the lights are waterproof or else they won't last long. I wire tied my lights to the hitch close to the receiver....
