The way the headlights attach to the header panel are different in the early build truck. You can change the header (just find a 8/96-'03 truck and pull the header from that).

Sounds like they are leaking, but not bad enough to spend $500 for repair. Just keep an eye on the levels and if you notice a lot of oil under the truck then look into it.

Those lights have a horrible reputation, they leak, light output is horrible, LED's burn out, Halo's go out and just don't fit well...

You could also have some bad valve guide seals, this would cause oil...

Not sure what the #2 (fog output I believe) to #12 does (I saw it in the write up), but when you jump #5 to #12 it powers the fog lights (#5) from the parking lights (#12).
