Thanks guys for all your input so far. Sounds like a 5.4 will do just fine for what I need. but I think I'm going to get one in an f250 trim though I don't like the looks of the f150 in this body...

I'm kinda thinking a v10 it gets about the same...

I'm kinda thinking a v10 it gets about the same mpg as 5.4. and has quite a bit more power should pull any thing I want. you think that would be over kill for my needs. And should get a 5.4 instead.

My truck won't start. It has the i6 with a 5 speed. It clicks when push the clutch in and won't turn over. I used to just push it a few times when it would do this and it would start. now it won't...

what gage metal was the step side beads made out of

since i cant find a rust free bead. and they don't make replacement bead sides. so i will have to make my own replacement pieces.
