The paperwork on the repair was not detailed but I was told there was a gasket around the oil pump where this could leak. Head gasket should be new since a cam phaser was replaced earlier.

A while ago when going for an oil change I was told there was oil in the coolant. I was down to almost no oil but not enough to get a warning light. Coolant was flushed and oil pump was replaced...

Waiting for the oil light to change is bad; too long. Driving many short trips during winter is bad; too short.

Basically I need to change the oil more often...
