Yep...missed the 3.0" vs 2.5" shoe width. My eyes saw one thing my brain typed another. Semi floaters used 2.5" width (F250 only). SRW F350s used 3" and DRW used 3.5" shoes.

Yes it can be a vacuum leak...it only take a small amount of unmetered air to trigger a lean condition. It would have to be a HUGE leak to show up on a vacuum gauge.

Classic symptoms of an under-charged A/C system. When the compressor is on the computer kicks up the idle RPM. When the system is low the cycle time of On/Off shortens considerably.

Sounds like something hydraulic to me. If the pedal stayed up I would lean towards a bad re'maned booster.

Could be Master Cylinder or RABS hydraulic module...back to square one.
