Are you talking about comparing a 2013 F-250 to a 2013 F-650 for instance? I have 2 right in front of me and guess what- they are the same cabs with a few modifications.

Biggest problem with the 8.2L was head gaskets, particularly the turbo'ed versions. That engine had an open deck block, cooling passages were open to the deck. Not much surface for the head gasket...

Tell you what, air ride cabs last a lot longer on vocational trucks than solid mount. Some drivers don't like the floating feeling you sometimes get.

Actually, the ride in a 2011-up GM HD is worse than the 2010 and earlier truck with the more flexible chassis. Tire balance has also become more critical has the newer chassis transmits a lot more...

Hate to say it, but not any more. The 2011-up GM HD's now have the strongest frames in the industry by a wide margin. Those twist videos are not a joke, boxed rails and tubular crossmembers welded...
